Ukrainian banks not to work on December 25

The Ukrainian banking system will not work on December 25, 2017.

"Monday, December 25, 2017 is a non-working day for the banking system of Ukraine," the press service of the National Bank of Ukraine posted on its Facebook page.

November 16, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine passed the bill No.5496 on amendments to the Labor Code on holiday and non-working days. It stipulated making December 25 an official non-working holiday in Ukraine and cancelling the day off on May 2. From now on, Ukrainians will mark Labor Day only one day, on May 1.

November 29, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed the relevant law.
