President Poroshenko: Own-source revenues of local budgets expected to reach UAH 171 bln

He stated this during the all-Ukrainian forum of united communities “Life-changing Initiatives,” an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“In 2014, own-source revenues of local budgets amounted to UAH 68.6 billion, while by the end of the current year - they are expected to increase to UAH 171 billion,” said Poroshenko.

He recalled that "in the middle of the last decade, when I was the head of the budget committee, a share of local budgets was traditionally envisaged in the budget at less than 30%”.

"During the first steps of decentralization in 2015, this figure grew to 45%. This year, we have reached 50%. It is symbolic. The exact figure is 49.3%. It’s fifty-fifty. This is the balance we will keep, the balance of national and local interests," Poroshenko said.
