State Statistics: Real wages in Ukraine grew by nearly 20%

Real wages in Ukraine in October 2017 increased by 19.9% compared to the same period last year, the State Statistics Service of Ukraine reports. 

"The index of real wages in October 2017 was 99.2% compared with September 2017, and 119.9% - compared with October 2016," reads a report.

The average nominal wage of a full-time employee of enterprises, institutions and organizations in October 2017 amounted to UAH 7,377, which is 2.3 times higher the minimum wage totaling UAH 3,200.

The average nominal wage in October 2017 increased by 0.4% from September 2017, and by 37.9% from October 2016.

According to statistics, the salary was between UAH 6,000 and UAH 7,000 in most regions of Ukraine.
