The International Maritime Organization (IMO) audit will be carried out in Ukraine in 2018.
Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelyan wrote this on his Facebook page.
“We have many things to do; Ukraine will pass an IMO audit next year. But we already have what to tell the international community,” the minister noted.
As Ukrinform earlier reported, the Infrastructure Ministry fulfilled a range of measures in line with the Resolution A.1067(28) “Framework and Procedures for the IMO Member State Audit Scheme”. The audit will be launched in July 2018. Its schedule was approved at a session of the IMO in July 2014.
On November 27, Omelyan arrived in London for an official visit. The minister is expected to meet with Secretary General of IMO Kitack Lim, leadership of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and representatives of Hutchison Ports.
