PM Groysman: Ukraine supports ICAO requirements on civil aviation security

Ukraine fully supports and complies with the requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) on civil aviation security. 

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman stated this at a meeting with President of the ICAO Council Dr. Olumuyiwa Benard Aliu and the ICAO Secretary General Dr. Fang Liu, the government’s press service reports.

Prime Minister Groysman also said that Ukraine is grateful to the leadership of the UN Aviation Agency for supporting Ukraine and confirming its rights to navigate the skies over the Black Sea.

"This issue is very important for us. We are ready to cooperate and use Ukraine’s entire potential to settle this extremely important issue", stressed Groysman.

In turn, the President of the ICAO Council thanked for the desire of Ukrainian specialists to join the governing bodies and to strengthen the management of the Organization.

During the talks, the parties agreed to strengthen technical cooperation and work jointly on air traffic security.
