Apartment sold for cryptocurrency for the first time in Ukraine

A deal on real estate purchase for cryptocurrency has been officially concluded in Ukraine for the first time.

The value of the deal is not disclosed, AIN.ua portal reports with reference to the State Agency for E-Governance of Ukraine.

As the agency noted, the deal became the world's first transatlantic e-transaction on the exchange of real estate for Ethereum cryptocurrency.

The owner of the apartment, Mark Ginzburg, lives in New York. He sold the apartment in Kyiv through his representative.

American company Velton / Zegelman was the cryptocurrency owner, and the Blockchain real estate startup Propy became the transaction platform.

The apartment in the Ukrainian capital was exchanged for the cryptocurrency by creating a smart contract.
