PM Groysman: Decentralization is a tool to support local business

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said this at the Kyiv Investment Forum on Tuesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"Completely new opportunities have opened up due to the reform of decentralization at the local and community level. We have transferred not only funds. We have transferred tools related to economic growth. The capital and cities will develop, more jobs will be created, more investments will be attracted, budgets will grow," Groysman said.

He noted that the growth of local budgets should be reinvested in the development of local infrastructure and business.

"The capital, for example, has prepared a number of high-quality projects for the development of tourism infrastructure worth tens of billions of hryvnias. Our task is to make investing easy. Today's forum will become a platform for discussing projects that can be implemented and strengthening initiatives that are already being implemented," the Ukrainian PM added.
