World Bank: Ukraine needs to carry out land reform as soon as possible

The World Bank believes that Ukraine should carry out the land reform at the earliest possible date as it can give an impetus to rapid economic growth.
World Bank Director for Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova Satu Kahkonen said this at the Ukrainian Financial Forum, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"Land reform is very important. It can accelerate the economic growth. It is no good having no permit for sale and purchase of agricultural land. The reform should be implemented. According to our calculations, it can give a significant impetus to the development of Ukraine," Kahkonen said.
