The bill "On concession" is aimed at balancing the interests of the state and business to modernize the infrastructure through raising funds from partners and the state.

First Vice Prime Minister – Economic Development and Trade Minister Stepan Kubiv stated this during the presentation of the draft law "On concession," which was developed by the Economic Development Ministry jointly with the EBRD and international consultants, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The draft law on concession aims balancing the interests of the state and business. We are not only talking about infrastructure modernization, we are talking about the innovative infrastructure projects with the involvement of state and private partnership based on raising funds from partners and the state," Kubiv said.

He noted that one of the priorities of the Government is Ukraine’s return to the status of a transit state, "which has the potential to restore this status with a minimum contribution of funds and use of state and private partnership tools."
