State Service of Maritime and River Transport to be created in Ukraine

The corresponding resolution was approved at a government’s meeting on September 6, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

Deputy Infrastructure Minister Yuriy Lavreniuk noted that the newly created service will become the sole body for implementing state policy in the sphere of maritime and river transport, merchant shipping, inland shipping, in the field of security in this area, apart from the security of maritime navigation of the fishing industry fleet.
