The corresponding decision was made at the Cabinet’s meeting on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"Our ports are very expensive, and the business constantly raises the issue of reducing the cost of services. We decide to cut all harbour dues by 20% to make our ports more competitive," Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said.
As specified by Deputy Infrastructure Minister Yuri Lavrenyuk, the government decision envisages a 20% cut in tonnage, canal, light, sanitary, anchor, private, administrative harbour dues starting from January 1, 2018.
