Legalization of cryptocurrencies would be a ‘quantum leap’ for Ukraine, expert believes

Chairman of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission of Ukraine Timur Khromayev said this in an interview with FinClub.

"Ukraine has an opportunity to take the lead and attract more resources to its financial market by introducing the revolutionary legislative changes," Khromayev said.

He described this step as a chance to "make a quantum leap" in the country’s development.

"We could become one of the most innovative jurisdictions," said the chairman of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission of Ukraine.

At the same time, Khromayev stressed that trading Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies on stock market should be regulated by the state.

As noted, the National Securities and Stock Market Commission of Ukraine will be able to regulate the cryptocurrencies only when they become a public investment tool in Ukraine.
