Vice PM Kistion: Ukraine’s readiness for upcoming heating season exceeds 80%

Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Kistion says that readiness of the country for the upcoming heating season exceeds 80%.

In a post on his Facebook page, he wrote: "In the morning I held a traditional meeting to discuss problems in the unified energy system. The country's readiness for the upcoming heating season exceeds 80%. Scheduled repairs at power units of nuclear power plants are under way; coal is being accumulated in line with the plan. There is one million tonnes [of coal] more in our warehouses than we had this time last year," Kistion said.

He also added that regions in their preparations for the autumn-winter period are now ahead of the schedule, and their readiness is estimated at 70-75%.
