State-owned banks resume issuance of ‘energy efficiency’ credits

State-owned banks on August 14, 2017 resumed the issuance of credits under the energy efficiency program for Ukrainian citizens and homeowner associations.

Chairman of the State Energy Efficiency Service Serhiy Savchuk stated this, the government’s press service reports.

"All those who want to warm their homes, replacing a gas boiler with a solid fuel boiler, and create an energy efficient house can join the government’s program, which has already been used by about 300,000 families. The permanent state financial assistance is guaranteed. The main thing is to consciously consider the issue of energy efficiency and preparations for the winter,” Savchuk said.

According to the government’s press service, the program can significantly save costs when implementing energy efficiency measures and subsequently reduce utility bills.

As earlier reported, the government additionally allocated UAH 400 million for the program of energy efficiency credits.
