New infrastructure in Donetsk region to cost $10 bln - Zhebrivsky
Chairman of Donetsk Regional State Administration Pavlo Zhebrivsky, who also serves as head of the regional civil-military administration, stated this in an exclusive interview with Ukrinform.
"The key task for me now is to create a road map for the construction of a new infrastructure in Donetsk region. It should be designed for at least 10-15 years. Towns and villages should become truly European. It will include everything - water pipes and district heating, roads, administrative buildings, sports facilities, palaces of culture, condominiums, parks, squares, municipal transport, and municipal enterprises. Everything. How much money is required for that? The preliminary estimate is about UAH 200-250 billion, which is needed to make regional infrastructure European," Zhebrivsky said.
According to him, the interactive road map for the construction of the new infrastructure in Donetsk region should be drafted by the end of August 2017. It will be posted on the website of the regional state administration, where it will be accessible to anyone interested - from a resident of the region to an investor.
After the roadmap is drafted, Zhebrivsky plans to carry out a road show: "[I want] to present it first to EU diplomats in Kyiv, and then, if there's any interest, abroad."
