Ukrinform
The European Commission experts have assessed the possible risks of the Ukrainian gas transportation system which may arise during the heating season 2017-2018.

Ukrinform learnt this from the press service of the NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine.

"Within the framework of cooperation between Ukraine and the European Commission on strengthening security of gas supplies, the representatives of the Joint Research Center of the Directorate General of the European Commission together with representatives of the NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine, the PJSC Ukrtransgaz and the Energy and Coal Industry Ministry of Ukraine studied the scenarios of possible crisis situations with natural gas supplies to Ukraine," the report says.

As noted, the study results are the basis for the development of a set of preventive measures that would significantly increase the level of readiness of the Ukrainian gas transportation system for emergencies.
