Yuri Vitrenko: After gas contract with Russia expires in 2019, Ukraine may use GTS for exporting own gas

Ukraine can use its own gas transmission system (GTS) to export own gas, after the current transit contract between Russia’s Gazprom and Naftogaz of Ukraine expires in 2019.
Director for business development at NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine, Yuri Vitrenko, stated this in an interview with TV Channel 5, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"We can develop our own production and start exporting gas. And we should do it. All the compounds that are currently used for exporting Russian gas can be used for exporting Ukrainian gas," Vitrenko said.
