China intends to increase imports of food products from Ukraine

The People's Republic of China plans to increase imports of Ukrainian food products, in particular those that meet the standards of quality and safety.

This has been reported by the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection.

“China intends to increase the volume of imports of such [food] products, and the stake is made precisely on the quality and safety indicators, and the products of Ukrainian origin meet these criteria,” reads the report.

“In particular, the work has been already launched on signing the protocols of sanitary and phytosanitary requirements regarding the export of sunflower meal and beet marc from Ukraine to China.
