Ukraine already exports 1.2 million tons of new grain crops

As of July 19, 2017, Ukraine exported 1.253 million tons of new grain crops.

Ukrinform learnt this from the press service of the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry of Ukraine.

 Since the beginning of the new marketing year (July 2017 – June 2018), Ukrainian farmers exported 194,000 tons of wheat, 370,000 tons of barley and 689,000 tons of corn.

In addition, according to the Agrarian Policy Ministry, Ukraine already exported 2,900 tons of wheat flour as of July 19.

As a reminder, the United States Department of Agriculture, USDA, forecasted in its last report that Ukraine would export 38.31 million tons of grain in 2017/2018 MY.

As reported, according to preliminary estimates, Ukraine exported 43.8 million tons of grain in 2016-2017 MY which is a record indicator for the years of the state's independence.
