President Poroshenko hopes Ukraine to rank 70th in Doing Business

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko says he hopes that Ukraine this year will be the 70th in Doing Business ranking, the president’s press service reports.

“Nobody except you and us demonstrates such a pace and firmly creates an attractive investment climate fighting corruption, introducing decentralization and deregulation,” President Poroshenko stated during the Ukraine-Georgia investment forum in Batumi on July 19.

President Poroshenko reminded that Ukraine was on the 153rd place in the Doing business ranking three years ago

According to him, Ukrainian authorities worked to improve the investment climate and attract investments. In particular, macro-economic indicators have been improved, the banking sector has been purified, and foreign exchange reserves have been increased etc.

“We will demonstrate the growing pace of foreign investment, we will talk about the opening of security prospects,” he stressed.
