Ukraine, Romania to intensify transport and infrastructure cooperation

The second meeting of the Ukrainian-Romanian Joint Commission on Economic, Industrial, Scientific and Technical Cooperation was held in Bucharest on July 10-11.

As an Ukrinform own correspondent learnt from the Embassy of Ukraine in Romania, the parties discussed the ways to intensify bilateral cooperation in transport and infrastructure area, including road, rail and sea transport.

Particular attention was paid to interregional and cross-border cooperation, implementation of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region and other issues of mutual interest.

Following the Commission’s meeting, Infrastructure Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Omelian and Transport Minister of Romania Alexandru-Razvan Cuc signed the protocol, which sets forth the parties' commitments for further cooperation with a view to comprehensive development of cooperation in these areas.
