Vice PM Rozenko: Average wage in Ukraine totals UAH 6,500

Over the first four months in 2017, the average salary in Ukraine grew by 40%, to UAH 6,500. 

Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Rozenko stated this during a meeting dedicated to the issue of raising the minimum wage to UAH 3,200, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

“Over four months of this year, the average salary has grown by almost 40% compared to the same period last year and now totals UAH 6, 500," he said.

At the same time, he noted that the real wage grew by 20% if taking into account inflation.

In addition, Rozenko recalled that for the same period in 2016, the wage growth rate totaled 3.5%.
