Vice PM Zubko: Local budgets grow by UAH 18.4 over January-May 2017

Local budgets in January-May 2017 grew by UAH 18.4 billion compared to the previous year.

This was announced by Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister for Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Hennadiy Zubko, the government’s website reports.

"Financial decentralization yields results. In January-May, the total fund of local budgets (excluding transfers) received UAH 72.3 billion, which is 44.5% of the annual revenue approved by local councils. The increase in the general fund of local budgets against January-May last year amounted to 34.3%, or + UAH 18.4 billion," Zubko said.

He added that the growth rate of actual income of personal income tax compared to January-May 2016 is 141.6%, payments for land - 116.6%.
