Polish oil and gas company PGNiG considers the Ukrainian gas market to be very promising and plans to double gas exports this year.
Vice-President of the Management Board Maciej Wozniak said this during the II Polish-Ukrainian Gas Conference in Warsaw, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"It was a turning point for us last year. We exported 370 million cubic meters of gas to Ukraine... This year we plan to double exports," Wozniak said.
According to him, the main obstacle for gas export is a weak throughput. The company plan to overcome this obstacle with construction of the Ukrainian-Polish gas connection.
Wozniak described the situation on the Ukrainian energy market as "very dynamic" as there is a large number of traders, and transactions occur in short periods of time.
