Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman calls on local authorities to be more active in urban development.
The Head of Government wrote this on Facebook.
"Before summer I would like to ask the local authorities to use more actively the opportunities provided by decentralization. The latest data show that as of May 1, 2017, the balances of the general fund of all local budgets of Ukraine amounted to UAH 47.4 billion. In April, they increased by 4%," Groysman said.
In his opinion, while the weather is fine, a lot of things can be done to improve cities and villages, repair roads and sidewalks, schools, kindergartens, etc. "Today it depends not on Kyiv but on local self-government bodies," the Prime Minister added.
