Ukrinform
A new airline will be set up soon in Ukraine, which is expected to compete with the Ukraine International Airlines (UIA).

Ukrainian Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelian said this in an interview with the RBC-Ukraine news portal.

"I hope that another airline will be set up in Ukraine this year, which will become a worthy competitor to the UIA. In this case, we will regain the competition we once had between the two national air carriers – the UIA and the AeroSvit," Omelian said.

According to him, the talks on the airline establishment are currently underway.

The minister expressed confidence that the new company would operate domestic flights.
