Yakiv Smoliy to perform duties of NBU governor from May 11

First Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine Yakiv Smoliy will perform the duties of the Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine starting from May 11, 2017.
This is reported by the press service of the NBU.
"As announced a month ago, Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine Valeria Gontareva has her last working day in the office today, May 10," the statement reads.
The NBU notes that Gontareva leaves behind all her professional duties at the National Bank and goes on forced leave until the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides on her resignation. At the same time, Gontareva is ready to report to the Verkhovna Rada ahead of her dismissal, as required by the procedure for dismissal of the NBU governor, at the invitation of the Parliament.
As reported, Valeria Gontareva announced her resignation on April 10.
