Ukraine boosts natural gas transit to Europe by 23%

PJSC Ukrtransgaz in the first four months of 2017 transported 30,5 billion cubic meters of Russian gas to European consumers, which is by 23% more compared with the previous years, the company’s press service reports.

“For four months, the volume of gas transit through Ukraine's territory to Europe increased by 23% and amounted to 30.5 billion cubic meters," reads the report.

The transit in April increased by 31.5% and totaled 7.3 billion cubic meters, Ukrtransgaz reports.

To date, the daily volume of gas transit to Europe through the territory of Ukraine is 254.3 million cubic meters of natural gas.
