IMF interested in implementing successful reforms in Ukraine – Miklos

The International Monetary Fund is interested in implementing successful reforms in Ukraine.
Co-chair of the Group of Strategic Advisors for Support of Reforms in Ukraine Ivan Miklos said this during the Sup Day Forum on April 19, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"The IMF is certainly not an enemy, but it is not a friend as well. Ukraine and the IMF have a common interest in the successful reforms because if the reforms in Ukraine are successful, then the IMF will get its money back. If there are no reforms, there will be a risk of not returning the money," Miklos said.
He added that the privatization of state enterprises would help Ukraine attract more foreign investments. According to Miklos, there is also a need to launch a land market in Ukraine.
