Economic Development Ministry: Ukraine may rise by 10 positions in Doing Business 2018

This has been stated by Vice Prime Minister – Economic Development and Trade Minister Taras Kutovyi, the ministry’s press service reports.

“Due to the concerted work of Government and Parliament, we expect that Ukraine will go up by at least 10 positions in the ranking of Doing Business 2018," Kutovyi said.

The Economic Development Ministry also noted that the level of shadow economy decreased by the end of the third quarter of 2016 (from 40% of GDP over nine months in 2015 to 35% over the same period in 2016). Also, the Economic Development Ministry in 2016 implemented the reform of public procurement system, which made it possible to save more than UAH 12 billion in budget funds (following completed tender procedures).
