First Vice PM Zubko: Revenues of local budgets grew by 40%

Revenues of local budgets in the first quarter of 2017 amounted to almost UAH 42 million, which is by 40% more compared with 2016. 

First Vice Prime Minister – Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Minister Hennadiy Zubko stated this in Ternopil region, where he was on an official trip, the government’s press service reported on Friday.

“In the first quarter of this year, local budgets received UAH 41.6 billion, which is almost by 40% more than in the first quarter last year. Revenues of the united territorial communities increased by UAH 700 million, or by more than 52%. In particular, budget revenues of the united territorial communities in Ternopil region totaled UAH 121.2 million in January-March, compared with UAH 71.9 million over the same period last year. We see positive results across the country: the rebuilt roads, kindergartens, schools, hospitals,” he said.

First Vice Prime Minister Zubko also added that decentralization gave an opportunity to settle local problems that Government tried to resolve for decades.
