Ukraine, Lithuania aim to increase mutual trade turnover through energy, military, transport spheres

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman says that the mutual trade turnover totaling $1 billion between Ukraine and Lithuania can be achieved through the deepening of cooperation in the energy, military and technical, transport, tourism and education sectors.

Volodymyr Groysman stated this during a meeting with Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania Saulius Skvernelis, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reports.

"We’re focused on achieving a turnover of $1 billion, it would be very good," the Ukrainian prime minister said.

Volodymyr Groysman also called on the resumption of work of the intergovernmental Ukrainian-Lithuanian commission on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation, which will facilitate the economic cooperation between the countries.

Saulius Skvernelis, in turn, noted the high level of interaction between the countries in the sphere of business, but at the same time called on enhancing of the economic cooperation and the greater use of bilateral potential.
