German business to help identify most competitive Ukrainian economy sectors

Such an agreement was reached during the visit of the delegation of German businessmen to Kyiv on March 20-21, Michael Harms, Managing Director of the German Committee on Eastern European Economic said in an interview with DW.

This project is titled "Procurement Initiative of German Economy" and was already successfully tested in the Balkans.

"We want to take a closer look and properly assess which semi-finished products and components are produced in Ukraine so well that they can be supplied to the European Union. We agreed with the Ukrainian government on this issue," Harms said.

The Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Ukraine and the investment agencies are to help find the best Ukrainian contractors for the German industry.
