President Poroshenko expects $1 billion loan tranche from IMF in March

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko says that Ukraine will receive the fourth loan tranche worth $1 billion from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in March.

President Poroshenko stated this in an interview with Ukrainian TV Channels on Wednesday evening, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“I can state for sure now that a sitting of the IMF Executive Board will be held on March 20. As IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde promised me, we'll get $1 billion. I hope this will happen as early as in March,” he said.

As earlier reported, the text of an updated Memorandum with the IMF will be published after March 20.
