Gas consumption in Ukraine decreased by almost 6% in January 2017

In January 2017, Ukraine consumed 5.114 billion cubic meters of gas, which is by 5.8% less compared with the same period last year, the Energy and Coal Industry Ministry of Ukraine reports.
According to the Ministry, gas consumption by heating companies decreased from 1.521 billion cubic meters to 1.35 billion cubic meters (11.4% less compared to January 2016).
The population and budget institutions in January 2016 consumed 2.5 billion cubic meters, while in January 2017 = only 2.39 billion cubic meters (5.7% less).
The industry reduced the consumption of blue fuel from 1.09 billion cubic meters to 1.05 billion cubic meters (4.6% less).
