Five thousand new jobs were created in Ukraine last year due to German investments.

Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Pavlo Klimkin stated this at a joint press conference with Germany’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Sigmar Gabriel in Kyiv on Thursday, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

“As of today, there are one thousand German companies in Ukraine. Last year alone, almost five thousand jobs were created,” he said.

According to Klimkin, such a result shows the efficient work of not just bilateral cooperation, but of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Ukraine and the EU as well.

Minister Klimkin stressed that in the future the two countries will expand trade and investment cooperation.
