Ukraine, European banks sign loan agreements totaling EUR 300 mln for subway construction in Dnipro

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, in the course of the working trip to Dnipropetrovsk region, visited a subway construction site in the city of Dnipro, the president’s press service reported on Monday, February 27.
“Subway construction in Dnipro is a symbol of our cooperation with the European Union,” President Poroshenko stressed.
He reminded that loan agreements totaling 300 million euros for the construction of the Dnipro subway were concluded with European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and European Investment Bank (EIB).
President Poroshenko noted that it is an important event for Dnipro, because the last subway station in the city was open more than 20 years ago.
President Poroshenko expressed hope that the construction would be completed within upcoming 3-4 years.
