USAID project for agricultural sector development launched in Ukraine

This is reported by the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry of Ukraine.

"The launch of the USAID international project ‘Agricultural and Rural Development Support’ will contribute to the comprehensive economic growth through the development of rural areas and the agricultural sector as a whole. The project was officially launched within the framework of a series of international forums and exhibitions, which took place on February 21-23 at the KyivExpoPlaza exhibition centre," the statement reads.

The implementation period of the project is August 7, 2016 - July 3, 2020. The tasks of the projects are as follows: to create attractive living conditions in rural areas of Ukraine; to increase competitiveness of Ukrainian agricultural products; to introduce the international quality and safety standards; to provide access of domestic agricultural products to new export markets of the EU countries.
