Agrarian policy minister: Small and medium-sized enterprises to receive 70% of EIB’s credit
“The credit from the European Investment Bank should become a real tool to support business development especially for small and medium producers. Under the project, EUR 400 million will be added from the Ukrainian banks participating in the project to the initial sum of EUR 400 million from the European Bank. We also hold active talks with the Finance Ministry, as well as Ukreximbank so that to accelerate this project implementation,” Agrarian Policy and Food Minister of Ukraine Taras Kutovyi said this during a meeting with representative of the European Investment Bank Vazil Hudák.
The minister stressed that at least 70% of credit is planned to be given to small and medium-sized agrarian enterprises, while other 30% will be given to operators of the state sector: research stations, laboratories and institutions on fisheries monitoring and control.
