Vice PM Kubiv: Ukrainian aviation industry can make advantageous offers to India

Ukraine’s First Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development and Trade Stepan Kubiv says that the Ukrainian aviation industry can make advantageous offers to India, which at present lacks for about 500 passenger medium-haul aircraft for travelling within the country.

Vice Prime Minister Kubiv stated this in an interview with Ukrinform following the participation in the 23rd Partnership Summit -2017 in India.

Stepan Kubiv said that during the forum he "met with the Indian ministers – the ministers of commerce and industry, land transport and highways, urban development, construction, information, radio and television broadcasting, civil aviation. All these, in fact, are the priority areas of interest in bilateral cooperation”.

In particular, Vice Prime Minister Kubiv said that “with Minister of Commerce and Industry of India Ms [Nirmala] Sitharaman, we talked about free trade agreements between Ukraine and the EU and Ukraine and Canada. I said that these agreements open new export opportunities not only for Ukraine, but for all the investors, which will start their production in our country. She, particularly, became interested in this. And Ms Minister hopes that a joint project of the sea corridor between India and Ukraine will be implemented, which will arrange deliveries of Indian goods to Europe and other countries”.
