EU welcomes energy sector and energy efficiency reform in Ukraine

This is said in the second report of the European Commission on the EU Energy Union, an Ukrinform correspondent in Brussels reports.

"The European Union continues to assist in the promotion of energy reform in Ukraine. Tangible progress has been achieved in the gas market. In addition, important decisions were made in order to improve energy efficiency," the report reads.

It is also noted the need to extend the reforms in Ukraine, especially in the energy sector.

The European Commission also commended its efforts in meetings with the Russian and Ukrainian parties in order to ensure stable gas supply to Ukraine and gas transit to the EU.
