Ukraine counts on the principled position of Finland regarding the implementation of the construction of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline.
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said this at a joint press conference with President of Finland Sauli Sauli Niinistö in Helsinki, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
"Talking about energy cooperation, we count on Finland's principled position on the Nord Stream 2 project. The so-called commercial attractiveness of the given project carries a number of political risks,” Poroshenko said.
According to the President, the parties have reached an agreement to intensify the activity of the Intergovernmental Ukraine-Finland Joint Commission for Trade and Economic Development. The Ukrainian party has expressed willingness to welcome Team Finland business mission in Ukraine.
