EIB may allocate EUR 35 mln to deal with Lviv landfill problems

The European Investment Bank (EIB) is ready to allocate EUR 35 million to solve the problem with Hrybovychi landfill in Lviv region.

This was stated by Vice Prime Minister, Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Economy Minister of Ukraine Hennadiy Zubko in an interview to ZiK TV channel, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"According to the preliminary information I have received from the bank [EIB], this project will amount to almost EUR 35 million and the European Investment Bank is ready to help Lviv to finance the project," Zubko said.

According to the Vice PM, this project provides for arranging the Hrybovychi landfill, sorting and briquetting of waste. The implementation of the project is expected to take 2-3 years.
