Ukraine managed to save about $400 mln due to gas purchases on western border

Naftogaz Board Chairman Andriy Kobolev stated this in an interview with TV Channel 5.

“Now, there are many attempts to calculate the amount of savings or not-savings, how is it better to compare - with the month or the quarter, but numbers are a stubborn thing, and even if we take the price that was offered by Gazprom with a discount, then Naftogaz still has managed to save about $ 400 million,” Kobolev said.

He stressed that this is a positive difference, when Naftogaz bought gas on the western border of Ukraine, not on the eastern one.
