In 2016, natural gas transit via the Ukrainian gas transmission system for European consumers increased by 23% and came to 82.2 billion cubic meters, the press service of Ukrtransgaz PJSC reports.

In particular, 8.4 billion cubic meters of natural gas was transported in December 2016, which is 25% higher than that recorded for the same period in 2015.

According to recent reports, natural gas transmission for European consumers is conducted at a daily rate of 245.6 million cubic meters.

Ukrtransgaz also noted that natural gas transit via the Ukrainian gas transmission system is made timely and in full.

“In addition, Ukrtransgaz PJSC, unlike Gazprom OJSC, maintains contractual pressure at Ukrainian border gas-metering stations,” the press service stressed in the report.

According to Central Dispatching Department of Ukrtransgaz PJSC, Gazprom OJSC does not maintain contractual pressure at the Russian border gas-metering station Sudzha. At 10:00 a.m. this morning, it was 10% lower than that stipulated in the contract.
