Ukraine's renewable energy market to reach EUR 16 bln till 2020 - State Energy Efficiency Agency

The renewable energy market in Ukraine will reach EUR 16 billion till 2020, but investors need guarantees so that they can invest money.
Chairman of the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving Serhiy Savchuk stated this during a press conference, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“The renewable energy market in Ukraine will total at least 16 billion euros until 2020. There will be enough space. And we see that our institutional partners, foundations are interested in this. Apart from the financial stability they want to see normal regulatory activities,” Savchuk said.
He also stressed that investors require protection from the state.
“We need a guarantee, which enables us to calculate profitability, attract own and bank investments,” Savchuk said.
