Minimum wage of rescuers to increase up to UAH 5,000 - State Emergency Service of Ukraine

Starting from the next year the minimum wage of rescue workers of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine will increase from UAH 3,000 to UAH 5,000.

This has been reported by the press service of the Ukrainian State Emergency Service on Wednesday.

"On December 21, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the National Budget for 2017, which provided for an increase in funding for salaries. The minimum wage of rescue workers will increase from UAH 3,000 to UAH 5,000," reads a statement.

At the same time, the fund allocation for the purchase of fire-fighting and rescue equipment will be also increased up to UAH 600 million.
