“There must be a new law on energy efficiency within the next few months,” he said at a high level international conference on a new strategic partnership between the EU and Ukraine in the energy sphere in Brussels, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
Maros Sefcovic also said that the practical implementation of this law should be carried out via the Energy Efficiency Fund.
The European Commission Vice-President also recalled that the EU had allocated about EUR100 million for the development of energy sphere.
As earlier reported, Ukraine and the EU signed the Memorandum of Understanding in the energy sector on November 24.
