Ukraine considering issue of possible meat and milk imports from Ireland

Ukraine and the Republic of Ireland have discussed the issue of possible expansion of trade and economic cooperation, in particular, with regard to imports of Irish beef, pork, milk and dairy products to Ukraine.
This has been reported by the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection following a meeting of Chairman of the Service Volodymyr Lapa with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ireland Charles Sheehan.
“The sides during the meeting discussed the process of adjusting veterinary certificates for imports of Irish beef, pork, milk and dairy products to Ukraine,” reads a statement.
The sides also discussed mutual cooperation in the sphere of veterinary medicine and food safety and the development of bilateral trade between the two countries.
