NBU: GDP growth expected to be 2.5%-3% in 2017

Ukraine’s GDP growth is expected to total from 2.5% to 3% in2017, according to Deputy NBU Governor Dmytro Solohub.

“We expect for acceleration of economic growth to 2.5%, maybe, to 3%,” Solohub said at a sitting of representatives of the Higher Expert Council at the NBU Council, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

He noted that the NBU evaluated that the increase in minimum wage up to UAH 3,200 from January 1, 2017 can give extra 0.5% to GDP growth.

Solohub also added that the next stage of review of forecasts regarding macroeconomic indicators will be at the end of January 2017.
